Indawo Loyalty: programme rules

Joining

Launch offer: Silver membership for R1,000 with a 10% bonus (R1,100 credit), first 10 members only. Non-refundable; credit can be used for stays and everything at the property (restaurant, bar, spa and more). After the 10 launch places are taken, you join by buying one of the other membership options shown on the join page when they are available. Every membership starts with a payment: you give your name and email address, confirm with a one-time code, then pay with PayFast. Your membership, card and benefits start once PayFast confirms the payment. Unpaid sign-ups expire after 7 days. The launch offer is non-refundable: the R1,000 credit and the R100 bonus cannot be refunded or withdrawn and can be used for stays and everything at participating properties (restaurant, bar, spa and more). The R100 bonus is promotional credit with no cash value and expires after 12 months. Join at indawoai.co.za/portal/il/join with your name and email address.
We email you a one-time code to confirm it. No password is needed.
You get a member number and a digital member card straight away.

Show the card (QR code or barcode) at check-in so the property can recognise you and give you your member benefits.
Your card, member number and surname also open a quick view of your balances at /portal/il/card.

Member discount: Silver: 10% off all bookings. Gold: 15% off all bookings. It applies to room rates, including busy-night rates, and does not combine with group discounts.
Silver: reached automatically when your qualifying spend in your membership year reaches R10,000, or by buying R10,000 of prepaid credit at the normal price.
Gold: reached automatically when your qualifying spend in your membership year reaches R50,000, or by buying R50,000 of prepaid credit at the normal price.
A participating property can also confirm your tier from proven spend. Your tier is shown on your member card.
Special tier offers may run for limited periods. Any bonus credit they include is promotional credit with no cash value. Purchases under special offers cannot be cancelled or withdrawn, and any refund is subject to a 10% admin fee.

Your bonus year runs for 12 months from the day you join.
Spend counts on completed, paid stays booked through the programme. Amounts paid with bonus credit, refunds and fees do not count. Buying prepaid credit is not spend; using it on a stay is.
If you spend more than R10,000 in your bonus year, you earn 5% on spend up to R50,000 plus 10% on spend above R50,000. R10,000 or less earns no bonus.
Examples: R20,000 spend earns R1,000. R60,000 spend earns R3,500.
The bonus is capped at R10,000 a year (reached at R125,000 spend). It is added as bonus credit within 14 days after your bonus year ends.

Use prepaid and bonus credit for stays and everything at any active participating property (restaurant, bar, spa, activities and other on-site services). Staff debit your bill from your credit (prepaid credit first, then bonus credit) and you get a receipt. Signed-in members see the list.
Bonus credit expires 12 months after it is added. It has no cash value and cannot be refunded, sold or transferred.

You can top up prepaid credit online with PayFast. Indawo holds it in your name.
From 6 months after a payment, you can ask in writing for unused prepaid credit to be refunded. We pay it by EFT 20 days after your request, less a 10% admin fee on the amount refunded.
